Temple Hollow Dermal Fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in the body, that is strategically injected to address volume loss and sunken temples. The hyaluronic acid attracts and retains water, providing a plumping effect and provides structure which can lift the surrounding areas. The filler is biodegradable, so gradually breaks down and is naturally absorbed by the body.

Immediate improvement is noticeable after the treatment, with optimal results visible within 2 weeks as any swelling subsides.

Typically, one treatment is sufficient for noticeable results. We only use one syringe in one session – half each side and build up volume gradually. We’d advise leaving 3 weeks between treatment sessions if you do want more volume.

Results last between 12-18 months, but can vary between individuals depending on lifestyle. Maintenance sessions can extend the duration of results.

Temple Hollow fillers are suitable for people who have a hollowing in the temporal region of the face, a sunken or gaunt look or want to enhance a youthful heart shaped face. Unfortunately, dermal fillers are not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding. We recommend a free consultation with our medical professionals to ensure suitability.

Avoid putting any pressure or applying make up for a couple of hours after treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise and heat for 24 hours – so no saunas, steam rooms or excessively hot showers/baths

Temple Hollow fillers can be combined with cheek and/or tear trough fillers in the same appointment for a full rejuvenation of the mid face and eye area, and also work really well with botox to help reduce the appearance of hooded eyes and crow’s feet. We’d recommend waiting 3 weeks after your treatment to get any other procedures done to ensure any swelling has completely resolved.

Common side effects can include mild swelling and bruising, generally resolving in a week or two. While rare, severe complications can include prolonged swelling and infection. Extremely rare complications include vascular occlusion and tissue necrosis. At SkinHD, client safety is our number one priority, and this procedure is only carried out by experienced and qualified medical professionals, who are well-equipped to handle any side effects swiftly and effectively.
In the unlikely event or undesired outcomes, hyaluronidase can be used to effectively reverse the procedure.

If you are concerned about bruising, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen  and alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. 

Ideally arrive at your appointment without make-up, but don’t worry if you don’t, as your practitioner will cleanse the area fully before the treatment. 

We will provide numbing cream for you to apply to your lips before your appointment. The product also contains lidocaine to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment process. We can also provide you with an ice pack before and after the treatment to help reduce swelling.
