Vitamin A / Retinol is an essential nutrient that supports skin and stimulates the production of new skin cells. One of the most scientifically backed ingredients in skin care and suitable for all skin types retinol is known for its ability to normalise and repair skin. Introducing retinol is essential for any skin struggling with acne, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin A is also an important antioxidant, helping to protect against the harmful free radicals that cause inflammation in our skin. It is this inflammation that often leads to unwanted skin disorders, fine lines and wrinkles and premature ageing. MediMD progressive skin system introduces Vitamin A (Retinol) to the skin, in stages. This staged approach often reduces the likelihood of dry, flaky skin often associated with Retinol use, so a low amount and slow build up approach is recommended.
